Introducing me…

To open my blog, I thought I’d talk first and foremost about what I enjoy, what I’ve got and what my plans are for this.

I’ve enjoyed gaming ever since I was young, my first experience of a games console of my own was playing Super Hang On for the Sega Megadrive II. Fast forward some 22 years and I still enjoy gaming albeit my tastes have change, I absolutely love anything Nintendo and when I’m digging about in the local shops I always favour something from my Beloved Ninty than anything else.

That said my collection has grown pretty considerably in the last 18 months or so. To start I will mention my favourite parts of my collection, and later in the blog I will review them individually:

  • Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) plus the Mini Nes
  • Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) plus the Mini Snes
  • Xbox Crystal (original)
  • Nintendo 64

So what am I going to be talking about?

Well primarily I’m going to review games and hardware both old and new. My opinion will be completely unbiased and I’m not driven by sponsors to give great reviews so I’ll make sure I’m as objective as possible.

Something else I’d like to do is maybe a long term piece about budget gaming. My plan is to have a set budget and purchase a console and some games month to month and review them. Maybe pick up and try accessories etc. My reason behind it is that not everyone has a fortune to spend on consoles and the latest offerings from Sony etc. and I also think it’ll be a bit of fun.

Lastly I’ll obviously review the latest games out as and when I pick them up. Usually I get games on or just before release so it won’t be hard for me to bring anyone that reads this my thoughts on the latest games. The twist will be that I’m only going to review the base game. I won’t be reviewing any add on’s or day one content. Ill review those after.
